Robert Machira

Robert is the Chief Financial Officer. He is a seasoned finance executive with over 15 years’ experience in various finance leadership roles, with proven success in overseeing finance strategy, financial reporting, operations and performance for companies across diverse industries. He is a trusted member of the C-suite, known for providing sharp insights into financial trends and opportunities to drive profitability.

Prior to joining Goodlife Pharmacy in December 2023, Robert was the Finance Director at Simbisa Brands Kenya Limited, the proprietor of Pizza Inn, Chicken Inn, Creamy Inn and Galitos Brands. As an executive member of the Kenya board, he helped drive the expansion and profitability phase of Simbisa Brands with stores count and revenues doubling in 4 years. Robert also worked for Wrigley East Africa Limited a subsidiary of Mars Incorporated as the financial reporting and analysis manager (Middle East & Africa Region) responsible for laying strategies to increase gum and confectionary market share in the East African market via route to market strategies as the sales and marketing co-pilot, in addition to the normal financial reporting and analysis roles.

Robert is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a fully qualified Certified Public Accountant and Secretary CPA (K), CPS (K) he also hold an MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT), Bachelor of Science (honors) degree in applied accounting from Oxford Brookes University (UK), a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from United States International University (USIU), a Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR) and an advanced Diploma from Chartered Institute of Management Accountant ( CIMA Adv Dip MA).
